It\u2019s easy to set up and can be run on just $29 a month (after your free trial!).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is Shopify?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shopify is a leading ecommerce platform that allows you to create websites and sell products there as an online store. It has been running for ten years and is now helping 500,000 businesses in 175 countries. More than 1.2 million people are actively using the platform.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">What is Print on Demand?<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Print on demand is a fulfillment method that allows you (the seller) to customize products that the supplier (e.g. SinaLite) prints. You are essentially putting your own brand or designs onto white label products and selling them for profit. The supplier fulfills your orders with no minimum quantities and dropships them to your end customers.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">How to Create a Shopify Store<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We\u2019ll assume that you already have a clear idea about what you want to sell in terms of the designs. You\u2019ve done your research and found your niche. That means you\u2019re ready to create your Shopify store.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are 8 parts to the process. We\u2019ll take you through each part in a step-by-step manner.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 1: Start your free trial<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 2: Add products<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 3: Customize your store\u2019s appearance<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 4: Set up your domain<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 5: Choose a payment provider<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 6: Set up shipping<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 7: Set up taxes<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 8: Launch your store<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 1: Start your free trial<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><b>Step 1:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Go to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.shopify.com\/?ref=sinalite\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">shopify.com<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> and click on \u201cStart free trial.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<b>Step 2:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Fill in your information in the form. Keep in mind that your store name becomes part of your store URL. If there is already a store with that name, a red error message will show up, and you\u2019ll need to pick a different name.<\/span><br \/>\n<b>Step 3:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> After filling out the form, click \u201cCreate your store.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shopify will ask you some more questions. After you fill out all the additional information that Shopify requires, you will see your own Shopify account.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 2: Add products<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are two ways to add products. You can either add them manually or connect with a print on demand app to add products.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manually adding products<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Manually adding products can be more time consuming in the long run, because you\u2019ll need to add all the variations one by one. But if you have a product that you create yourself (instead of getting it printed by a supplier) then this is the way to go.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Click on \u201cProducts\u201d in the sidebar, and then the purple \u201cAdd product\u201d button on the top right corner.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Start filling in the details of your product. This includes:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Title<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Description<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Images (you\u2019ll need to upload these)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pricing<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Inventory count<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shipping details (you can create shipping profiles later for your store)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Variants (e.g. different sizes, colors, etc.)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Search engine listing (this is what will show up when people search for your product)<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> You should also check the settings on the right hand side of the page and update if necessary. These settings are not visible to your customers. They are just to help you manage your store more easily. They include the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Product availability<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organization (product<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> After you are done, click the purple \u201cSave\u201d button on the top right corner. Your product has now been added to your store.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can always edit it by going to the \u201cProducts\u201d page through the sidebar.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adding products using an app<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Another way of adding products is by syncing to the app of a supplier. What are the advantages of using a supplier\u2019s app to add products?<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Pre-written accurate descriptions of products<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Free product photos to use with mockups of your design on the product itself<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Quick and easy to add variants<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Automatic order processing (you won\u2019t need to place the order manually; your supplier receives the order from your store and starts producing it right away)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Dropshipping straight to your customers<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Not all suppliers have apps though. SinaLite has just launched its <a href=\"https:\/\/apps.shopify.com\/printbest-print-on-demand\/?ref=printbest\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\">print on demand brand, Printbest<\/a>. To add products through the app, follow the instructions <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/printbest.com\/faq\/how-do-i-add-products-to-my-store\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">here<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 3: Customize your store\u2019s appearance<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can do this part later if you\u2019d like, but it\u2019s a good idea to have your store looking sharp for your brand. The easiest way to customize the appearance of your store is by using themes.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A theme is a layout that somebody else created. You can apply this layout to your store but add your own text, color, branding, and products. By using themes, you can make your store look great without being a computer programmer.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Finding a theme for your store<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><b>Step 1:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Going down the left hand menu, find and click \u201cOnline Store.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<b>Step 2:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> More options will appear. Click on \u201cThemes.\u201d You will now see the default theme that you are currently using.<\/span><br \/>\n<b>Step 3:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> You can change your theme if you\u2019d like. Some themes are free while others will have their price listed next to them. Click on either \u201cExplore free themes\u201d or \u201cVisit Theme Store.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Now you have two options.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Option A: Using a free theme<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><b>Step 4:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Browse through the free themes. When you see a theme you\u2019d like to use, click on the purple button to add it to your theme library.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Option B: Buying a theme in the Theme Store\u00a0<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><b>Step 4:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Select a category to help you narrow down on themes suited for your store. Browse through the themes and click on the ones that interest you.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<b>Step 5:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Click on \u201cView demo\u201d to inspect the theme further, or click on \u201cTry theme\u201d to see how it will look with your Shopify store. Trying the theme is free, since it is just a preview. You can customize this preview by clicking on \u201cCustomize theme.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<b>Step 6:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> If you decide to buy this theme, click \u201cBuy theme\u201d and you will be charged for it on your next Shopify invoice. If you do not decide to buy the theme, click \u201cClose preview.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Customizing your theme<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">After you have added a theme to your theme library, you can then customize it by clicking on \u201cCustomize.\u201d Your theme will not be published live in your store until you publish it.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You may want to do any or all of the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add your logo<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add images (Shopify offers some free stock images, or you can upload your own)<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add or change the text<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Change the colors to match your brand<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Change the font to match your brand<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Add helpful features like slideshows, newsletter signups etc.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Change or add language and currency options<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Customize the checkout process<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are many ways to customize your Shopify store. After you do some basic adjustments, you may want to revisit this once your store is up and running.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Publishing a theme to your store<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beside the theme you\u2019d like to use, click \u201cActions\u201d and then \u201cPublish.\u201d (If you have not purchased a theme, the \u201cPublish\u201d button will not show up until you have purchased it.)<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 4: Set up your domain<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You could skip this step if you wanted to, but you\u2019ll be left with a long website URL that credits Shopify for your store. Most businesses want a URL that is uniquely theirs, on brand, and easy to remember, but keep in mind that buying a domain does cost a bit extra, and you\u2019ll need to pay periodically to keep the domain.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">You can either connect an existing domain (one that you already own), or purchase a domain.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Connecting to an existing domain<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Click on \u201cOnline Store\u201d in the sidebar and then click \u201cDomains.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Under the big \u201cDomains\u201d header, click \u201cConnect existing domain.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Type in the domain you want to connect and click \u201cNext.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> Click \u201cConnect automatically.\u201d If you\u2019re not signed in to your domain provider, you will need to do so in the popup that appears and then click \u201cConnect\u201d and \u201cClose.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> You will then be able to see the domain listed under \u201cThird-party domains.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To make this domain your primary domain (the URL that your customers see when they are in your online store), see the section below on changing your primary domain.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Purchasing a domain<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Click on \u201cOnline Store\u201d in the sidebar and then click \u201cDomains.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Click the purple \u201cBuy new domain\u201d button on the top right corner.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Type in a domain name that you\u2019d like. You will see suggestions below along with their prices.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> When you find the domain suggestion that you\u2019d like to use, click the \u201cBuy\u201d button.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> Fill out your credit card billing information and click \u201cContinue.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 6:<\/strong> Review your information to make sure everything is correct. Here you can also choose whether you want to auto-renew your domain or be reminded to renew it when the time comes. When everything looks accurate, click \u201cBuy domain.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 7:<\/strong> You will then receive verification emails. Follow the instructions on the emails to verify your email address within the next 15 days.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 8:<\/strong> It can take up to 48 hours before your new domain is ready to use. Check the \u201cDomain\u201d tab of your Shopify account regularly. Under \u201cShopify managed domains\u201d you will see the domain name that you bought. When the status shows \u201cConnected\u201d it means the domain is ready to use.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To make this domain your primary domain (the URL that your customers see when they are in your online store), see the section below on changing your primary domain.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Changing your primary domain<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> To make a domain your primary domain (the URL that your customers see when they are in your online store) click on \u201cChange primary domain\u201d next to \u201cPrimary domain.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> In the popup, select your new domain and click \u201cSave.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your Shopify store now has your new domain name.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 5: Choose a payment provider<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A payment provider is a system that processes customer transactions for your ecommerce store. Shopify Payments is usually the default, but you can also choose one for your Shopify store.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Choosing Shopify Payments\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Click on \u201cSettings\u201d on the bottom left corner and then click \u201cPayment providers.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> If you are eligible for Shopify Payments, you will see that as your default provider. Click on &#8220;Complete account setup.&#8221;<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Fill out the information required and click &#8220;Complete account setup.&#8221;<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Choosing a different payment provider<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Click on \u201cSettings\u201d on the bottom left corner and then click \u201cPayment providers.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Click on \u201cChange provider\u201d beside \u201cShopify Payments.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Check off \u201cThird party credit card provider,\u201d select a provider, and click \u201cContinue.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> Step 3: Fill out the information required and click \u201cActivate.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 6: Set up shipping<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are many ways to set up shipping. Some options include the following:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Offering free shipping<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Charging real-time carrier rates<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Charging flat rates<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Offering pickup or local delivery<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While we won\u2019t go into all the ways to do these, we will briefly cover the basics of setting up a shipping profile.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Editing your default shipping profile<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your store comes with a default shipping profile.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Click on \u201cSettings\u201d on the bottom left corner and then click \u201cShipping.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Click \u201cManage rates\u201d to edit the profile. Here you can manage your shipping rates for your default profile.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Click \u201cSave\u201d when you are done.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Creating a new shipping profile<\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you want different shipping profiles depending on the type of product or other factors, you will need to set up a new shipping profile.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Click on \u201cSettings\u201d on the bottom left corner and then click \u201cShipping.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Click \u201cCreate new profile\u201d beside \u201cShipping profiles.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Fill in the information and rates for your new profile. Click \u201cDone\u201d and then \u201cSave.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For information on setting up shipping for print on demand products, check out our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/printbest.com\/faq\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">FAQs<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 7: Set up taxes<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Shopify has default settings enabled to collect taxes, but you can override if you wish.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Click on \u201cSettings\u201d on the bottom left corner and then click \u201cTaxes.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Click \u201cedit\u201d to edit the taxes you are collecting for a particular region, or click \u201cSet up\u201d to set up rates for a region where taxes are not being collected from yet.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Part 8: Launch your store<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Your store does not need to be perfect to be launched. You can always improve it along the way. But you should test it out first before you allow the general public to place orders.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Testing your store<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If you don\u2019t want your suppliers fulfilling your test orders, make sure you are disconnected from any apps that fulfill your orders before going into test mode.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 1:<\/strong> Click on \u201cSettings\u201d on the bottom left corner and then click \u201cPayment providers.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 2:<\/strong> Click \u201cManage\u201d under your payment provider.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 3:<\/strong> Scroll to the bottom of the page and check off \u201cEnable test mode.\u201d<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 4:<\/strong> Click \u201cSave.\u201d You are now ready to place a test order.\u00a0<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><strong>Step 5:<\/strong> After placing your test order and making sure there are no issues, repeat the steps above but uncheck \u201cEnable test mode\u201d to turn it off. Do not fulfill your test orders.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Upgrading to a paid plan<\/span><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">During your free trial, your online store is automatically password-protected.
