This increases competition, which can make it challenging to stand out in the industry. <\/span><\/p>\n<h2>Do\u2019s<\/h2>\n<h3>1. Fill out your &#8216;About&#8217; page<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">While this may seem self-explanatory, you\u2019d be amazed and how many companies leave their \u2018About\u2019 section blank or vaguely filled out. Establish authenticity by filling out your \u2018About\u2019 section, as many consumers will head over there to read briefly on what your business is about. However, don\u2019t go overboard with the hashtags; keep it to a maximum of two hashtags!<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>7. Include media with your post\u00a0<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Whether it be an image or video, add some form of media with your post. Facebook posts generally perform <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.websolutions.com\/blog\/18-dos-and-donts-for-a-successful-facebook-for-business-page\/\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" target=\"_blank\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.3x better<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with images or videos to go along with it. Videos are more likely to be shared than any other post type, and live videos are watched by users 3x longer than pre-recorded videos.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>8. Pin posts to your page<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For any important posts, pin them so that they appear at the top of your page every time a user visits. Pinning posts can get more attention for your posts as it will be the first thing users see when they go to your page. Self-promote too much<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Of course your Facebook page is where you advertise your business, but don\u2019t overdo it. Exclusive news on upcoming product launches or changes to the business are important, but refrain from self-promoting to the point where your Facebook page becomes filled with advertisements. Self-promoting too much with your sales pitch actually drives customers away. In order to make successful sales, you need to establish a proper relationship with your customers first, and this won\u2019t happen if you\u2019re constantly self-promoting.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<h3>5. Buy followers\/likes<\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Many companies do this, but it\u2019s not as effective as you think. More and more companies are buying followers and likes, and this tends to backfire and hurt your business as you\u2019ll find yourself having to sort through which accounts are bots and which are real customers. Also because of the trend of buying fake followers\/likes, customers are beginning to get better at figuring out when a company is buying their followers.
