It lays out 4 steps that take you from setting up your listing to monitoring it in the long run, so that you can get more print customers.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Let\u2019s get started.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><strong>What you\u2019ll need:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Google Account<\/li>\n<li>Physical print shop<\/li>\n<li>Computer (you can do this on mobile too but our tutorial uses a PC)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n<p><strong>How to Use Google My Business<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Add or claim your business on Google<\/li>\n<li>Optimize your listing on Google<\/li>\n<li>Respond to reviews<\/li>\n<li>Monitor your business insights<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 1: Add or claim your business on Google<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Begin by <a aria-label=\"logging into your Google Account (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/accounts.google.com\/servicelogin\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">logging into your Google Account<\/a> (use the primary Gmail account for your print shop). Once you\u2019re logged in, search for your business on Google.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Found your business? Claim your business listing.<\/p>\n\n\n<p>Didn\u2019t find my business? Clients tend to trust businesses more when they provide full information, and it also makes your business easier to contact.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Add photos to your business listing\n<ul>\n<li>Click on \u201cPhotos\u201d in the left menu to add photos or even videos. Businesses with photos get an average of 35% more visits to their website than those who don\u2019t (Source: <a aria-label=\"Google (opens in a new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/support.google.com\/business\/answer\/3038063?hl=en\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Google<\/a>).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Add Google Posts\n<ul>\n<li>Click on \u201cPosts\u201d in the left menu to write your post. You can post promotional events, featured products, or other things you want to communicate. Viewers will see these underneath your business listing.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Answer questions\n<ul>\n<li>Search your business on Google and click \u201cSee all questions\u201d under the \u201cQuestions and Answers\u201d sections of your listing. Answer the questions there. But your customers also have a role to play. They write online reviews for your print shop. By now you probably have a pretty good Google My Business listing. But there\u2019s one more feature that you should take advantage of. Like everything else, it\u2019s free, and if you know how to use it, it can help you get more print clients.<\/p>\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Step 4: Monitor your business insights<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>This step maximizes the benefits of using Google My Business and is therefore highly recommended. You can find a lot of information about your target audience using Insights. Here\u2019s what you can discover:<\/p>\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>How customers find your listing<\/li>\n<li>Search queries they\u2019re using to find you<\/li>\n<li>What actions customers took on your business listing<\/li>\n<li>How many customers requested directions to your shop<\/li>\n<li>And more<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How to access Google My Business Insights<\/h3>\n\n\n<ol>\n<li>Go to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/business\/\">www.google.com\/business<\/a> and make sure you&#8217;re signed in<\/li>\n<li>Click on \u201cInsights\u201d in the left menu<\/li>\n<li>Take a look at the data there and play with the options to familiarize yourself with what you can see (e.g. checking and unchecking boxes to focus on specific data)<\/li>\n<li>Regularly monitor the data and apply this knowledge to improving your website, marketing strategy and more.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter\"><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"https:\/\/lh6.googleusercontent.com\/Xanj-UM8Kd3BxZMOrOOWHCVAQABmRq0ulRDR2EoALTZTouII6o1i7i06xkKdaYwuZY_OnKkGKfIH5Om7n4lzrVffVp7pHT2T_N1IVw6MDQ8OibOh5Fk2A_A5QLneWglnXBmx-B4K\"\/>\n<figcaption>Here&#8217;s an example of one of the insights.
